KORN, FEAR FACTORY, STATIC-X To Play Australia In February
October 21, 2003KORN, FEAR FACTORY and STATIC-X will reportedly be playing together at the Sydney Superdome in Sydney, Australia on Friday, February 13, 2004. Additional dates for the package are expected to be confirmed in Victoria and Queensland around February 11-16. Tickets will be priced around $60-$70 and will go on sale on November 5.
Although there has been no official word on the matter, FEAR FACTORY will reportedly be joined by STRAPPING YOUNG LAD bassist Byron Stroud for the upcoming dates. It is not presently clear if Stroud will extend his involvement with the group beyond the Australian tour.
FEAR FACTORY are in the process of recording their new album at a Los Angeles studio for an early 2004 release through an as-yet-undisclosed label (strongly rumored to be Los Angeles-based D3 Entertainment). A remixed version of a new track called "Archetype" will surface on the forthcoming "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" soundtrack, due on November 4 through Nitrus Records. The song, which was composed by the group's bassist-turned-guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers and drummer Raymond Herrera and features lyrics written by frontman Burton C. Bell, was self-produced at the band's own recording studio and was remixed by programmer/engineer Steve Tushar, who had toured with FEAR FACTORY back in 1996 and has done some remixes for KORN.
